OUR STORY
Hello BBQ began as a weekend project in 2005. My brother and I got the idea to build a trash can smoker after watching an episode of Good Eats. We headed to the local home improvement store to purchase the parts we needed. Instead, we found an inexpensive Brinkmann that cost less than the total sum of the parts, and decided to roll with it instead.
What started off as a decision on a whim, has turned into a passion and competitive BBQ team. Though now winning awards, acclamations, and even the introduction of our Hello BBQ Sauces, it’s our grass roots decisions to continue to strive to be better, that ultimately will continue to make us better.

Nick was inspired to improve his BBQ skills in the early 2000s when he realized that, even though he loved ribs, his were terrible.

Retired Knife/Prep Champion
AJ recently moved to Washington which forced Nick to do all the prep work. Now AJ can impress all of his new friends in Spokane with his award winning skills.

Dad was forced to take over for AJ on competition days after he moved. He has since taken his talents to Washington as well. This trend is unsettling…
